Calculating the amount of tile needed

1. Measure the area to be covered in square feet.*
2. Add 10% to account for waste.
3. Have your calculations checked by your sales consultant before ordering.

Please note that most tiles are sold in full boxes only, which may affect the total quantity ordered.

Remember to factor installation materials, such as tile adhesive and grout, accessories like transition moldings, drains, and niches, as well as labor and delivery, if applicable, into your budget.

* Did you measure in inches? Take the number of square inches to be covered and divide that number by 144. This will give you the number of square feet to be covered.

Tile maintenance and cleaning

To clean your tiles effectively without damaging them, three products are essential, each with a specific role:

  • An all-purpose cleaner, for daily use, everywhere.
  • A degreaser, for occasional use in the kitchen (it tackles grease).
  • A descaler, for occasional use in the bathroom and entryway (it tackles limescale).

It's all about pH: degreasers and descalers are too strong for regular use and are only suitable for deep cleaning.

For daily use, use an all-purpose cleaner with a microfiber cloth. If a stain persists, scrub with a white nylon scuff pad, then use a degreaser or descaler if necessary. For occasional maintenance, use the degreaser and descaler with a black nylon scuff pad. For grout lines, use the same cleaner and scrub with a nylon scuff pad or brush.
