Maintaining a hardwood floor always begins with vacuuming to remove dust and debris. Next, the floor should be mopped with a clean, damp, flat-headed mop and a washable microfiber cover. Spray the mop with a cleaner specifically designed for hardwood floors. Scrub in a back-and-forth motion, following the length of the floorboards.
Note that to prolong the life of your hardwood floor, avoid excessive water, unsuitable humidity levels, abrasives, and excessive pressure.
